Spring is near. Soon the snow will be gone until next winter. NYC will start to blossom. Spring will be in full bloom.
What makes NYC so special in the warm months? THE ARTS!!
As the weather gets warmer NYC comes to life with visual and music artists gracing city parks as well as sidewalks and venues from Brooklyn to Queens and beyond the island of Manhattan. Out from the warm confines of their studios and makeshift venues such as subway platforms and pathways, NYC artists are ready to leave behind their cabin fever and ready to engage tourist and residents alike around NYC.
Amongst the great art events that can be found throughout the Big Apple there are also networking and industry events that artist themselves should attend as part of their spring/summer arts repetoire in NYC.
NY Studio Factory will be planning spring/summer 2011 networking events for artists throughout the NYC area. As these events are posted we will keep you up in the know.

Weekly Eat & Drink
W4 Studios is located right on Roebling Street, surrounded by some really amazing restaurants and bars. Hungry? Check out our top 5 picks. Have a recommendation? Each week, we'll update the list with some more.
- Dante's (153 Roebling, right off the L): Open on Monday-Friday from 4-11pm, Saturday from 11am-11pm, and Sunday from 11am-9pm. Call them at
718-599-1945 or stop by to try some great Southern cookin'. - Foodswings (295 Grand): Known for their pu-pu platter, this stop is known for their vegetarian/vegan cuisine. They're closed on Mondays, but are open fairly late (past midnight) almost every other day for your late-night munchies.
- Spuyten Duyvil (359 Metropolitan): Drop by for a more exotic cocktail than you're used to for bit of a splurge. Here, you'll find an extensive beer list and a jukebox playing your favorite hits after a long day at work. They're open every day from 5pm until 4am.
- Baci & Abbracci (204 Grand): This restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine and gets crowded fast, so reservations are recommended. One reviewer swears that "the mozzarella is just like it was made and FedEx'ed from Italy." Call
718-599-6599 .
Forget about us?
